Before you ring
Usually. Most locks can be read or decoded and a key cut to them on site. For cars we cut to the vehicle’s code and program it beside the car.
Stop turning it — that is what pushes the broken half deeper. Extraction is a normal job and the cylinder almost always survives it, so long as nobody has attacked it with pliers first.
Alexandra Hills, Capalaba and Birkdale are usually inside fifteen minutes. Victoria Point and Redland Bay a little more. You get the real number on the phone.
Always — a licence, a lease, a rates notice. Thirty seconds, and it is the reason nobody else can pay us to open your door.
A decent one bolted into brick is far better than a key under a pot. A cheap one screwed to a timber frame is not. We fit the first kind and will tell you plainly if the wall you have in mind will not hold.
